Integrated Design Systems collaborated with Smith & Nephew during the development a digital-broadcast quality 560 Series 3-CCD high definition endoscopic camera. The result is a level of image quality and color never before possible, including picture clarity that’s five times greater than the resolution of SDTV. Smith and Nephew boasts the anatomical color and detail is unsurpassed when compared to any other competitive standard definition surgical cameras.

The design team at Integrated Design, strived to design a camera which would look and function like a state of the art surgical device. Hand and finger dexterity were examined to optimize ergonomics considerations pertaining to button placement, handling and manipulation during surgical procedures. These parameters were integrated with proper material specifications, hermetic seals and durability required during autoclave cycling.
