Ikey is a leading manufacturer of waterproof industrial input devices. IDS designed the SL86911 using a one-piece silicone keypad bonded to a impact resistant injection molded polycarbonate housing. The simple, attractive, cost effective, and very robust product was developed to pass NEMA specifications and heavy industrial use. Specially designed joints between the silicone keypad and polycarbonate base provided Ikey with a design which could consistently be manufactured to comply with stringent NEMA standards.
