Phillips, a world leader in the CT scanner market, required a new patient CAT scan table for its highly successful Brilliance iCT Scanner. The patient table was an extremely challenging project because of the numerous ergonomic, mechanical, spacial and technical specicifations. Although this design was completed more than 10 years ago, its classic appearance, reliability and versilitaty has remained virtually unchanged to this day. The very unique telescoping pedestal allowed the patient to be raised and lowered more than 20 inches with only a few simple parts. Inventive integrtaion of form and function resulted in a very successful design that has endured the test of time.
